Workshop 1: Mask Making
Working with established artist, Andy Hopton, you will have the opportunity to make and decorate a simple animal mask that you can wear to the Northfleet Carnival. Learn simple construction and decoration skills.
Suitable for ages 6+
Workshop 2: Costume Design / Making
With over 15 years of hands-on experience working within the vibrant and dynamic world of Notting Hill Carnival. Marelle is passionate about sharing skills and empowering others.
Join her in one of these friendly, accessible classes where participants can learn practical costume-making techniques within while exploring your own artistic flair. Whether you're new to crafting or a seasoned maker, these sessions offer a chance to connect, create, and contribute to the spirit of Carnival.
Suitable for ages 6+
Workshop 3: Developing Sewing Skills
Working with artist Mona Whitton, you will have the opportunity to develop your textile skills whilst helping make decorations for the 'Garden Of Eden' float. Skills include hand embroidery skills, free motion embroidery, free motion applique, dying techniques including batik and creative textiles.
