Higham in Dicken's Day

The Gravesend Historical Society invite you to a talk - Higham in Dicken's Day.

Charles Dickens lived at Gad's Hill Place in Higham from 1856 until his death in 1870. What sort of village was it then and who were somne of the villages he would have met during his life there? Andrew Rootes shows what Higham was like at that time.

Members - free. Visitors welcomed, voluntary donation of £5.

Car parking available to members at St George's School, Meadow Road, DA11 7LS. Visitors please park on Wrotham Road or nearby.
