Join us at our November pop-up on the Pier weekend (coinciding with the Christmas Light Switch on) and make your very own Macrame Candy Cane Decorations with Libbie from L Watson Design.
Each participant can make up to 3 or 4 candy canes, which can be personalised
with a little metal letter initial stamped disc for a table place decoration or
threaded onto a piece of cord for a garland.
Strands of wire are wrapped in coloured macrame cords and then bent into a candy cane shape. The ends of the macrame cord are combed through to separate the strands, making them fluffy.
A level of good dexterity is beneficial for this activity, but the facilitator will provide some support when possible, where required.
Workshop must be booked in advance.
This workshop is suitable for adults (18+)
We aim for our workshops to be as inclusive as possible and invite everyone to attend. However, if the participant has additional needs, please contact us in advance via: artsandculture@gravesham.gov.uk so that we can make our facilitators aware.
Photography and Videography will take place at this workshop and the rest of the event on the Pier for future advertising. If we intend to take shots other than completed artwork, backs of heads or hands, then we will always ask you to complete a permission form beforehand. Should you not wish to be photographed at all, please inform the member of staff.
